THE IMMENSITY OF GOD

 

God is with me, always, when I enjoy and when I cry, when I feel well,  when I fill ill, when things are favorable and when they are contrary to me.

And why do I often forget His presence next to me?

So many times I think that Jesus, that is personified God, is found only in the tabernacle of the altar. Out of that place I often forget that He sees me and follows me, perhaps because the attractions of the world obscure my mind, they make me forget that there is an eternity, they make me forget the principal goal of my creation.

God sees where I am, what I do, what I think. God hears what I say, that I want to do and He protects me.

God follows me in the daytime and at night, in the dark and in the light, and makes Him feel through the voice of my conscience, when, above all, walk on the streets of the evil, to tell me: « My Child you are out of the road», and He attends me times, days, months, perhaps years, but, in His waiting , so many times He looks me and remains in loneliness, persecutes me with His love through painful tests, to see if I still attend to Him.

God is present when I eat, when I sleep, when I work. When I pray He is inside of me and prays with me.

If God is in every place He is above all inside me.

Which is the principal purpose of this meditation? To live at the presence of God, to call Him, to adore Him, to invoke Him, to show Him my love, and above all to thank Him for the benefits He gives me.

I will put into practice the spirit of abandonment and trust: simple and spontaneous spirit because observed and driven by God that is in Sky, in earth and in every place because is the immense One.

The immensity of God consoles us, thinking that where we are there He is.

We are able therefore to turn to Him always in whatever situation we can be in need of help.

The thought of the immensity of God remembers us our littleness: we are like a small grain of sand lost on the sand of the sea, in the middle of so many other small grains greater of us. Yet He remembers every one particularly and recognizes us for what we are. Man sometimes believes to escape the eye of God, above all when he hides to sin.

The light frightens the sinner. He goes seeking the dark, but God also reaches him anywhere in the deepest night. Nothing is hidden to His powerful and immense eyes.

Friend, if also you are one of those who looks for hiding remember that the motive is only because you are a poor man, ignorant to His presence; it is only because you don't know in reality who is God.

God is everything, He is a strength that has the ability to stop the waves of the sea to save you while you are drowning. He so also has the ability to send you a lightning while you are sinning.

God loves the honest of heart.

Pray to get the holy fear of God. It is, this, a gift that the Holy Spirit grants whom asks Him for it, because God is endless goodness, and is endless goodness really because He is endless justice.

Fear the evil and try to act well: you will also do yourself great on the earth, because the pure ones of heart are the powers of the universe.

The small ones don't know how to pray as the great ones beg, but their prayer upsets the Heart of God because it goes out from humble souls and from the honest of heart.

God, endless greatness, seems that in depth is known only from the small ones, or from that great ones that know how to involve him as the small ones. «Let the children come to me and do not stop them, because the Kingdom of heaven  belongs to such as these» (Mt 19,14) it is read in the Gospel.

And still: «... their Angels in heaven are always in the presence of my Father  in Heaven» (Mt 18,10).

«Whoever welcomes in my name one such child as this, welcomes Me» (Mt 18,5).

Bevel your pride, brake your self-respect, free  yourself  by the desires of greatness, be content with the simple life and you will be happy.
