THE
MYSTERY OF LIFE
The
immortal spirit clarifies the mystery of life.
If
I live it is because there is a spirit inside me, which feeds my body,
supports it, dignifies it, enlivens it, and sanctifies it.
If
I think, it is because there is a spirit inside me; if I am a free man,
it is because through this spirit, I can distinguish right from wrong,
what I want and do not want to do.
A
man as well, is an animal, but different from the other animals, just
because, besides the body he also has a minding spirit through which he
elevates himself, assumes an aspect different from a simple animal.
A
person acquires therefore a personality by which he makes good or bad
works.
By
God’s mercy, if this spirit is not dead to grace because of sin, he
becomes almost a creator himself of whatever he does: a painting, a
sculpture, a building, procreation, an exposition, and whatever a man
acts.
All
that he does good is God’s work, who makes use of a human instrument
to reveals himself to the mankind.
If
I observe His law, I can reach perfection in my good works. I will spend
my life in the joy of the divine presence in me. God, a very perfect
Being, who transforms the human creatures, who are linked to Him, into
the Mystic Body, that is the Church.
«But
why - many people ask - the Lord is being represented as a good God, but
afterwards he suddenly claims you from the world, takes away you father,
your son?». «Why does God cleans from the world a man who has worked
for so many years, formed a family and acquired what he needed to live?».
Because he is ready for the Eternity.
God
is always the plant. The creatures are His Love’s fruit, and if an
apple, when mature, is not taken off it will fall down and becomes
rotten. He knows well that if that man did not dye that moment, perhaps
he could encounter obstacles or go against God’s law, and he would not
be alive anymore, for the spirit is alive only when it is net, not
covered with mortal sin.
It
is not this earth our eternal refuge, our fixed home, but it is the
Saints’ Home, where Christ sits close to the Father and the Holy
Spirit, and to all those who came before us, in grace, after having
purified from the sin’s scraps.
But,
what is this purification everybody talks about?
God,
being endless Purity cannot have besides Him, after the physical death,
a spirit dirty because of the sin; and in order to delight God’s
presence, it is necessary purification that he himself will choose in
justice at the moment of his death. Whereas he, who will leave his body
covered with serious sin, will be denied, in divine justice, of the
eternal union with God, the eternal Love.
«Why
must this poor body – some ask themselves – be detached from the
spirit after working so long?». Because the animal body has no value by
itself but to help the spirit to sanctify itself, still on earth.
Here
is the importance of a man: to be not a simple animal that is made up
only of flesh, many people’s passion is insatiable of. Man is made of
a supernatural part through which he can know, love, serve God and
operate the good.
It
is useful to forget the body and take care of keeping in grace the
spirit thanks to which we will be eternally happy. Saints forgot also
the most important things useful to live well on earth, mistreating
their flesh up to bleed in order that they could become better one with
Christ Passionate. He preferred to consume Himself rather than to keep
on living on earth, giving good example of life, and being pleased in
having the company of the just, though converting the weak and sinners.
What
has a man to do to live in peace on earth?
He
has to believe in God, accept all that He gives him every day, without
contesting Him, with any murmuring for a sickness, a disease, but,
instead, offering to Him everything in expiation of his guilt. He must
take in mind that what is important is not the body, but the spirit that
must make up a happy eternity.
Let
us approach, therefore, the Sacrament of Penitence, detest our guilt,
and nourish us with the Redeemer’s Flesh and Blood, in order that,
close to Him, we could feel our path less heavy. When the bell rings, we
must get off at the station where God calls us, leaving on earth all
those good and bad things we have gathered.
«For
what is a man advantaged, if he gains the whole world, and lose himself,
or be cast away?» (Lc 9, 25).
Wishing you all the best in peace and serenity.
