Most Holy Mary
as a friend
In
this month I would really like to make you
understand how it is necessary to be near the
Madonna, how much beautiful it is to work with Her
and to learn from Her to grow in virtues.
Her
principal virtues are three: purity, humility,
poverty.
Let's
not excuse us with saying that She was a Virgin
because preserved by the original sin and
therefore impeccable, but rather let’s think
that Jesus has said: «Be you perfect as your
celestial Father it is perfect» (Mt 5,48).
Therefore
the divine perfections are handed down because we
have to strive to put them in practice.
After
all God doesn't punish him who works
without wish. In order that it can be said
that man sins of impurity it is necessary that he
is conscious of what he does. Being man however
the reasonable, the excuses for the Lord are not
admitted.
Purity
is an angelic, noble, delicate and holy virtue; it
lifts the man to a superior state: the state of
virgin grace or that matrimonial if he lives well
his Sacrament.
He
who doesn't have pure hands and husk the heart
cannot climb the mountain of the Lord (cfr. Sal
123).
Don't
let yourself get taken by
the discouragement, but rather repeat with
St. Paul: «Everything I am able to do in Him who
gives me the strength» (Fil 4,13).
Also
humility is a virtue that have done the Saints and
that has preserved men: it is the virtue that
makes spontaneous and simple, well accepted to God
and his brothers.
It
is the virtue of which Mary is full: «Her I am,
the maid of the Lord; it may happen of Me what you
have said» (Lc 1,38).
Don't
excuse yourself with saying that you have an
arrogant character.
The
Lord, right God, doesn't pretend the impossible,
but asks you only and always what you can give Him,
reminding you that before asking you He gives you
the strength to answer him.
The
poverty is then the virtue that makes
rich in the service of God and that gives
goods to his brothers. Don't despise this virtue
and don’t be concerned if you think that God
asks you to live it on this earth.
God
wants you man as all the men, rather, when you
will preserve what God gives you and won't destroy
it with the sin, and you will live without
aspiring honors and wealth, you will attract to
you so many souls to follow the love of God.
Make
yourself friend of the Rosary: it will be for you
strength in the temptations, relief in the
punishments, help in the needs. It is Mry that has
asked us, Her children, to say it every day.
Dear
friend, listen to me, and we will know better
together the Most Holy Virgin.
