If you are an orphan, do you want me
to become your mother?
Young boy, do you know there is a God?
Sufferer, do you feel

a worthless means?
Does your old age make you feel a burden?
Do you think there could be a real rich
man on earth?
Do you feel

Are you thirsty for Light?

you count the hours of the day?
Who are you afraid of, if God is with you?
Has Jesus’ Love ever answered you?
Have you ever thought that silence is a wonderful maker
of the soul?
Don't

think that there is Someone more

who can enlighten you?
Let us pray for the Church
Authorities.
Do you feel alone?
- The
lack of a company must be called a God’s gift for it is the condition in which
the soul can be sure to be very close to the Lord. It is enough to read the
Beatitudes to see how Jesus exalts and even calls blessed those who suffer.
- No
one can say he is alone because he has no relatives or friends beside him. One
can feel alone when he lacks God’s grace, for he is an ambulant corpse, being
dead to the life. He is a vine-shoot, cut off from its plant which, by now dried,
does not give fruits any more, if not when it will be irrigated by the fresh
water of the Sacrament of Penitence.
- Why
do you cry, get disheartened or curse?
- If you have God’s grace, you have Him inside you, in your heart: « If a man loves me, he will keep my words and my Father will love him. We will come unto him, and make our abode with him» (Jn 14,23).
- Though
you do not see a face in front of you talking with you, be certain that a more
important Face is printed inside you. It is almost Flesh of your flash, even
though it is only Spirit, for It loves you, advises you, enlightens you, guides
you.
- Hence, why do you feel alone? Why do you lament, if you have the divine life inside you? With the Lord closed to your heart, you can dialogue. Not only, you can pray Him to receive graces and favours, but also you can talk with Him about all the simplest things, the most human ones, for He is a special friend for him who has no human company. It is written, indeed: « … I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness and speak comfortably unto her» (Hos 2,16).
Are you in despair?
- If you do not put your hope in God, in whom do you put it? In a world like this with all its pomp, scornful promises, delusions, betrayals, waiting longings without effect, illusions, revenge, the work given harshly, with pretexts, with canning, without any right compensation. Moreover: rapes, abortions, makeshift maternity, family conflicts, corrupted innocents, fratricidal fights, wars, abandoned orphans, mothers without comfort and help, refugees, crime, incurable disease, envy of other’s grace, suppression of the poor, usurpation of a place of honour, personalities broken down by the calumny, the jealousy; the families separated, the suicide of a relative, murders, condemns to years of prison… and so on. How long the list would be to say, to let you now that in each of these cases, man can be tempted to despair; however, he pulls himself together and goes on.
Who are you looking for?
- Oh kindly innocent baby, you are looking for your father or your mother or whomever can take their place to stay close to you, to give you a formation, to be for you a guide, light, comfort, sustain in difficult moments, to help you growing up, also physically, to assure you an education, and above all, to let you know that all that is happened round you is not obviously your guilt or because nobody loves you. They are the ups and downs of life. When you will become adult you will understand what you cannot understand now. How you can see however, the Lord has arranged in order that you cannot be lost, abandoned, even if you don’t hear near you a beating heart for you.
If you are an orphan, do
you want me to become your mother?
- Do not fill your sons’ heart with cool, those sons you gave to birth and who are still searching your love. They have got the right to grow healthy at home, close to pap and mum’s warmth.
- A parent who could have abandoned his son has to be ashamed in meeting him only that hour decided by the law. A son is worthy more than whichever richness, friendship, sympathy, and falling in love.
- Dear son, if you are alone without dad and mum, think that your Creator is God, and He loves His sons most tried by discouragement and solitude. Learn to talk with Him, to feel Him Heart of your heart, and then you will understand that, even though your parents are not near you as the years before, there is He who is close to you with His love and protection.
- Write me! When you will be in difficulty, I will help you to find peace in your heart.
Young boy, do you
know there is a God?
- Young boy, do you
know there is a God who everything sees, everything knows and everything can?
- A young boy is a little growing plant. It needs sun, water and light to grow up well and walk on the straight path. A young boy living in the world becomes a drifter if he has nobody who teaches him how to become a respectable person.
- Many young boys have set out for a wrong path, just because they are with
persons without sense of balance. To give a hand to a young boy means to take
responsibility for him and be his guide in order that he could not lose his way
as an adult.
- Dearest
young boy, at your age a person is generally eager for knowledge, doing, growing
fast to become someone, maybe also going away from one’s same family that is
feeding you, dressing, and thinking at your formation.
- First
of all, before acting reflect much more, for during the life it is necessary to
have a firm hand in order not to lose your way. I think your parents taught you
that there is a God we all have to obey if we want to be happy. You must
therefore know His doctrine, frequent the Catechesis, even though it costs you a
little of trouble. But so doing you will learn the right path to be followed.
- I
recommend you: frequent the Holy Sacraments of the Penitence and Eucharist, and
pray your Creator. To pray means talking with Him as with a friend, a
brother,
opening your heart to Him, talking about the even most little and simple things.
You will feel then, loved by Him, and you’ll learn to be a little apostle
among your friends, with the sick, the grandparents, all those who need some
help.
- When
one of your friends says swearwords, let him kindly understand that he is
directing towards a wrong way, because he drives his heart to be cruel, cold,
apt to the vices that make the young boy dirty, sad, agitated and rebel to
everything and everyone.
- Where
is purity there is joy.
Boy, do you feel
lost?
- Dearest boy who
live in the world, subdued by so many temptations, and decline the warning of
your parents senior than you, be certain that this is not the way of your wealth.
- The
boy who wants to preserve his personality has to listen to the warnings of them
who have loved him and still love him. Do not think that parents are of old
school, and that today the world is changed; the wisdom’s way is always the
same, the same is that of prudence as well.
- Imprudence,
according to my experience, keeps on bringing to fail very good young people.
The temptation begins to beat them in little transgressions: going out at
certain hours, making one’s parents suffer, communicating with bad friends,
permitting others ruin them without realizing, losing thus, little by little,
the strength of the good, serious, clean, full of great ideals path. One cannot
talk with the fire and even become its friend because it gradually enters into
you, does it warm your veins, clouds your intellect and brings you to make so
many bad things as those we listen to everyday: killings, suicides, quarrels,
lass of money, till to become a means of failure for one’s family.
- Most
of the time, they are the places the boys frequent with bad friends, that bring
them to have the most indecent behaviour, like that of ruining virgin, good
girls, putting them in a condition of compromise. And, according to this, how
many disgraces: the young who suicide. They were one day esteemed and appreciated,
but now thy are poor men, sometimes even mad, handicapped in their will, in
their body, with drugs, alcohol, and so on.
- Do
you want to keep yourself youthful, always youthful?
Live clinging to your parents’ warning. Observe God’s Law, frequent
the Sacraments and good friends. Avoid laziness, which is vices’ father, and
avoid all those places that are for you occasion of evil.
- Write
to me, if you maybe fall into some ravine. I will help you giving you some
advice. This is my mission.
- Be a friend of a good priest and, when you will undergo some urgent trouble, talk with him.
Sufferer, do you feel
yourself a worthless
means?
- Brother who are suffering, do not think you are worthless, since you are an extremely valid means for society. The Divine Father makes use of you just as He did with Jesus to redeem all of us sinners. The way to salvation is the Lord Who prepares it for each of His sons according to his skills, abilities and good will.
- The Lord calls us blessed even from this world. Come on, then! Think at how many souls you save sitting on you wheelchair, or forced into the bed night and day. Each tear falling down from your eyes descends on the souls like powerful oxygen for their conversion.
- Pray that the good God could convert and take them far from serious sins that make them like whited sepulchre for themselves and plumb for the brothers. The hardened sinner suffers more than you since he’s far from God. You live the Paradise on this earth but he lives the hell instead. In this disposition of anguish he does always hope to receive mercy from God. This divine mercy he will be given thanks to your serene acceptance of your sorrow.
- I’m talking to you with my heart in my hand for I have a great experience of the sorrow as well. Let’s pray each other so that we can grow up in virtues and can reach sanctity to which God calls everybody.
- Beloved sons of the Lord, I feel one of your particular friends. God thinks at the birds in the air and the lilies in the field. Do you think you are forsaken? God doesn’t abandon anyone.
- Look at high and pray. Rouse the angel you have nearby, dry up your tears and start smiling. This earth is an exile for everyone; it is a passage towards the heavenly home. Choose well where you can go not to fall down badly, because of forgiveness you have to observe with faith before Lord’s eyes.
Does your old age
make you feel a
burden?
- Grandpa and grandma, even though your life seems to be heavy and the days endless, think at the gift God gave you by making you live for so many years. The time you have still to pass is useful for expressing Him thanks and asking Him time for those parents who need to live to grant their assistance to their still little or needful sons.
- I understand that, at a certain age, it’s difficult to be still independent. One must necessarily depend on someone… Think, then, at the fact that also your sons have not always been free of doing whatever they wanted, for you were for them an authority chosen by God. In order to go to Paradise it is also useful to have some difficult moments, as when those who must serve you with love, do it unwillingly instead. We must accept everything because everything is fruit of God’s Providence, even the fact of being sent by one’s sons into a rest home.
- Their presence will be fruitful also for your sons, who will not throw you away when you will get older.
- Dear
grandparents, try to be not a burden with vices like smoking, drinking wine,
etc. Be neat and clean, and you will see that everything will go on peacefully.
Do you think there could be a real rich person on earth?
- You
must know, brother, that the richest is the poorest.
- «Whosoever
shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in
the name of a disciple, verily I say to you, he shall in no wise lose his reward»
(Mt 10, 42). Love the person who needs you most, and be ready to help him without
expecting any recompense, since you could be in future in the same situation.
- And
you, dearest brother, who are in difficulty, think that you are a beloved by God
and, if you have faith, His Providence will never abandon you. Pray and frequent
the Holy Sacraments. Try to find a Priest as a spiritual guide, and like a
loving father he could help you to avoid occasions of sin in order to gain a
spiritual conversation.
Do you feel yourself a crucified?
- If
you feel a crucified, think there is he who suffers more than you.
- Dear
son, chosen by God, you bring in your body the features of the Redeemer, for
also you suffer for brothers’ salvation.
- It’s
hard to be deaf and mute, but I want to recall you that you have, better than
those who are healthy, the gift of distinguishing and accepting God’s voice,
and of communicating it to the brothers with both signs and with gestures and in
writing. You have a mind to think, to reflect. You must try to form a deep inner
life to become a wise apostle, by teaching to the brothers the way of the good,
which is fruit of your suffering and feeling.
- And
you, who are called to follow these beloved creatures with teaching or the
company you keep them every day, be kind administrators of a deed, or better
still of a sculpture in the hands of the Divine Lord.
- There
is material to think at for each man, both believer and unbeliever. “Why do I
have more and he has less than me?” Certainly because he was better than me.
He who is called by God to suffer with Christ on the cross it is also because he
has received the strength and the
gifts to answer, at least in part, to His will.
- Don’t
cry, brother. Think that there is also he who cannot walk. You, instead, have
the eyes to watch: you can read, travel. Obviously, you lack something important,
but remember that it is never so important as God’s grace.
- Pray, talk with the Lord and diffuse His Word with your example of life.
- Brother,
chosen by the Lord to seed the earth with the fragrance of your sorrowful tears,
be blessed, for the Father, just as He chose His Son in the sufferings of the
Passion, so He chose you, because He loved you with a particular affection.
- It
is easy to say: “Come on”, as someone, at times, says to you. These words
have no importance, because it is not easy to support the weight of the night,
live like a buried alive. It is not easy. You hear around the noises of the
world; you would like to see the face of your sons, of your father, your mother,
your wife, and sometimes, you would like to take out your eyes, because of the
extreme pain of not seeing anymore.
- Anyway,
since you are a spiritual creature, you believe to have a sight not belonging to
this world, but one that is deeper and that goes beyond any horizon. If you
really love with the purity of the spirit, you see the heart of Jesus talking to
you and comforting you. Avoid staying idly. Learn to write in Braille. This will
help you much to participate better to the life of the society. But, above all,
I recommend you to pray that the Holy Virgin may sustain and guide you during
this life that is not eternal.
- One
day your eyes will become shining stars for those brothers who, needful of
light, will invoke you.
- And you, who are near these creatures, sustain them and try to understand all that they need, for to ask for is not always easy. A blind man has need always of being helped. It is a great thing to help these needful people. It is a praiseworthy deed.
- Let
time go on. You remain waiting for the hour of the embrace of God.
- Dearest brother who feel like a useless means staying in the bed, so many times tired of suffering, be certain that all that is important is not this poor flesh whose hours are numbered, but the immortal soul which glory you are suffering for; you are of such benefit for many souls rebel to God’s Love!
But,
why?
- My
dearest, you go on asking to yourself: «But why; what did I do of wrong if
I’ve been sent to stay here with one who doesn’t understand anything?»
- All
the sicknesses need some cure, even those relating to the nervous system. Be
grateful to the Lord if they help you getting better, since those sicknesses
take, at times, to desperation. It is not the sick that notices it but those who
are nearby.
- Cure
yourself with a good diet, and have faith in the life, that it has many things
to offer you. Even the medicine is a means to make you get better and render you
calm.
- Every
man has something to suffer from. Maybe there are more sick than healthy persons.
A lot of people hide the sorrow, while many others tray to make it manifest. Be
strong, and you will see that the darkness will shortly change into light.
- Giving
a hand to a person who is in this kind of experience is a great and rich of
merits deed.
Who are you afraid of, if God is with
you?
- Even the prison could not frighten you since the presence of God takes care of you!
- Dear brother it’s better to pay for one’s faults here on earth than in the eternity.
- There is no way to escape for the man who has failed. Be comforted hence, and accept to pay with joy your pain, in a place that can be called, in some ways, a great family.
- Think at that one who lives with no roof, and that though working, he can’t gain a sufficient salary to feed his sons. And yet he did not commit grave faults.
- Don’t act rashly, since this attitude could pain you much more than your simple penalty. I understand and keep close to you, since a prisoner’s mind is somewhat of turmoil; his brain works to find how to escape or to make the imprisonment shorter. This is also because of his taking away from his family.
- Pray the Most Holy Virgin, universal Mother of the entire world, and Mother especially for those who suffer and need help the most.
- And you relatives do not increase him the pain by upsetting him because you want him at home. Help him to accomplish God’s Will with calm, even if he was an innocent prisoner. Even Jesus had to appear before the Court and innocent he was condemned to death. All this occurred since the Father who is in the Heaven so permitted for the world’ redemption. If it was so God privileges him. Pray that he could have the strength of smiling amid the sorrow.
Has Jesus’ Love
ever answered you?
- You
are a Priest forever.
- Priest
of God, turn to Him to search for counsels or to that one who speaks for Him: to your
Spiritual Father I hope you have. It
is written: «Do not open your heart to anyone» (Sir 8,19).
And «Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye
your pearls before swine» (Mt 7,6).
- The
Priest represents Christ among his brothers. He has to keep under control
his tongue and his heart. Sometimes giving vent to one’s anger, in a
difficult time, is enough to spoil his peace and calm.
- People
want the priest to be perfect, but unfortunately even the priest is a man
with defects. Anyway he has to attempt to overcome them and become
gradually more perfect, so that not to scandalize people.
- Dearest
brother, do not open your heart to anyone, especially in those moments in
which you feel you need a good word. There is also that person who has a
double face: one to compassionate you and the other one to offend your
honour.
- Everyone
has to pray for the priests; it’s a duty for each of us, since if they
came to be missing, there would be missing also Jesus from the Tabernacle
of the altar. The figure of a priest is of so much value that during the
Holy Mass he turns the bread and the wine into the flesh and the blood of
our Lord Jesus. Jesus is put into the tabernacle and really lives close to
us. Blessed are those families that have a boy who has the vocation to the
priesthood. They must pray that he may reach the aim.
Heaven
help you if you impede those who are called by God to raise the altar; you
have to tremble if He removed His Providence from your family!
- Dear
Priest, my wish is that you may be strong and may guide your people to be
real heralds of the Gospel. So therefore your days will be full and your
heart unfrozen. Everyone has a cross to bring, whatever class and
condition he belongs, since there is no redemption without it. If you try
to shake it off from your shoulders, another really heavier one will
arrive and will be impossible to bear.
- Dearest
priest, do not forget that you have received everything from God: life and
training. You have had the opportunity of knowing His doctrine and you
lack nothing now. The day you became a minister of God you received all
the gifts necessary to live well your priestly state.
- Do
not listen to the devil that aims to make you fall into despair making you
feel lacking a companion, affection. If you pray and attempt to live well,
you’ll feel to be in the arms of the Holy Virgin, the most beautiful and
pure Woman, with a Motherly Heart!
- Those
who ask me for prayers, I answer that I always accept to pray for the
priests, particularly for those who are in difficulty or suffer
in-comprehension.
- Come
on! You are an Alter Christus; God is with you. Who will be against you?
If God is with you early the fogs will disappear, for He will show the
face of His presence and His strength.
- God bless you and make you saint!
Have you ever thought that silence is a wonderful maker of
the soul?
- This is enough for you!
- Sister or brother who have neglected the world to consecrate your life to God in a hermitage, in a Trappist monastery, or in a simple cloister, blessed you are! You have chosen the better place. It is written in the Gospel: «Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things; but one thing is needful: and Mary has chosen that good part which shall not be taken away from her» (Lc 10, 41-42).
- You have abandoned the world to opt for a place to talk with Love and diffuse on the other side of the walls those races that are light for souls. The cell is the place where the religious clasps his Beloved to his heart and talks with Him, he discusses with Him, he consults with Him; he consoles Him; he truly loves Him.
- In that condition he feels the need of flogging his fleshes in order to be better suited to collaborate with Him for the Redemption. The religious in the contemplative state suffers with Christ, and enjoys with Him. He gathers His wishes and transmits them to humanity.
- However, the cloister or the hermitage is not free from temptations. Devil tempted Jesus in the desert while He was doing penitence, but His power overwhelmed the spirit of the dark.
- In the desert Jesus not only was doing penitence but also was praying. Prayer is an essential means to defeat temptations and to improve one’s spiritual life. Many great saints come from the contemplative state.
- It should be constantly kept in mind, however, that even in the hermitage, in the Trappist monastery one can commit the sin of jealousy, of envy, egoism, of indolence; lack of charity, of perseverance, of prudence, of order, of perfection, of sincerity; the sin of hardness, inobservance of one’s Rules; the sin of lack of silence, of smile, of joy, of enthusiasm. One can commit the sin of hate, of revenge, of pride, of ire, of gluttony, of bad temper, of sadness, of downheartedness, of discomfort; of lack of prayer, of faith, of sacrifice; we can commit the sin of rash judgement, of dirt feelings and wishes, of unchastity and illicit relationships, of arid confession, incomplete and insincere, full of contestation, the sin of searching for satisfaction perhaps in a nice priest who always tells you are right, who says well of you; the sin of wishing to become an authority in your Order; the sin of indifference in getting better in the union with God!
- I think I can say all this because I am a soul that, like you, lives not properly in a real cloister but cloistered in my home like a monk. I willingly live this condition for two reasons: first, because the Lord took my sight off so that I could feel and taste better His presence, strengthen by my sacrifice; second, because the contemplative state has always been my vocation. Hence, dearest Brothers and Sisters, I feel to be one thing with you in prayer and oblation.
- The contemplative life must be a life of spiritual elevation, where the Religious really loves God, and is determined to consume himself in the spirit of abandonment.
- If one lives like so, he certainly becomes a saint!
Don't
you think that there is Someone more beyond you who can
enlighten you?
- One thing is powerful: the gift of one-self!
- Let us pray for the Authorities of every State, in whose hands many people put their trust.
- The good God may sustain them and help make them responsible of the society granted to them, whatever religion they belong to.
- How many innocent creatures die; how many families without a father; how many widows and mothers in such a bad state of poverty with many children to feed. It is one of our principal duty to pray for the State Authorities, for the one’s State and the others’, in order that wars might stop and peace could reign all over the world.
- Let us pray for Judges; they may be enlighten by God to distinguish truth from false.
- Let us pray for all those who have the duty of making observe the law, in order that they may be strong in faith and close to the prayer, to be free from many risks they encounter to help people.
- Let us pray for Directors of Institutes, of nursing homes, hospitals, laboratories, so that they may be bearers of good and order.
- Let us pray for Mayors, in order that they may care about the members of their district and of general order of the village or the city.
- Let us pray for the Naval and Flying Officers; they may be leaded by good sense not to commit imprudence for all those who travel by air and sea.
- Let us pray for parents; they may be real good teachers for their children.
Let us pray for the
Church Authorities.
- Let us pray for the Church Authorities.
- «And I say unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church: and gates of hell shall not prevail against it» (Mt 16,18). Christ, in founding His Church, He meant to build it in the Person of Peter and his successors, the Bishops. For this reason, let us pray that each Bishop may be the Builder of the Church of Christ with a life holy, rich of virtues, in order that he might furnish the flock he has been given by God, a full exercise.
- In order that a Bishop might do his apostolic duty towards the souls, it is necessary also our prayer. All of us have the duty to pray for their sanctification, since, to convert brothers they are not enough the words they pronounce, but it is necessary that they might govern with Christ’s Heart Itself.
