Meditazione sul sacerdozio – P. Luigi Graziotti -Video girato nella cappella dell'Associazione Volontari della Carità

 

Ringraziamo il Signore per questo grande dono, prima di tutto per il Sacerdozio che Gesù ci ha dato, e che ha fatto conoscere a noi. Noi siamo i suoi prediletti, che ha scelto “ab eterno” perché partecipassimo a questo grande evento, a questa grande realtà: il Suo Sacerdozio, per coloro che lo possiedono come noi è un dono che non si potrà mai, mai misurare e per il quale non potremo mai ringraziare il Signore abbastanza.

Per coloro invece che lo possono avvicinare, lo possono accostare, possono prendere i frutti, anche per quelli è un dovere ringraziare il Signore giorno per giorno.

 Ma penso che un bel ringraziamento a Dio per il Sacerdozio sia offrire noi stessi perché questo sacerdozio continui nella storia del mondo. Sicuramente il Signore lo farà continuare, però ha bisogno anche di noi; ha bisogno del nostro sacrificio, della nostra offerta, dei nostri doni, di quello che ci costa di più tante volte, di rinnegare noi stessi.

Prendere ogni giorno la croce che Gesù ci manda; attraverso quelle piccole sofferenze nascoste che sono dentro di noi ma che Gesù vede e offrirle per i Sacerdoti affinché Gesù mandi tanti sacerdoti nella Sua messe, affinché Gesù conservi quelli che ci sono già, affinché Gesù ci santifichi, ci aiuti a diventare più santi, affinché Gesù ci aiuti ad essere come Lui Alter Christus.

Siamo davanti in questo momento ad una statua della Madonna e lo sappiamo che qui la Madonna ha camminato il 21 Luglio del 1954 ed è apparsa alla Mamma. E perché la Madonna è venuta? È venuta per chiedere il sacrificio alla nostra Madre Provvidenza, alla nostra Fondatrice: il sacrificio per i sacerdoti. E lei per prima, cioè prima di noi, non per prima nella storia, perché tantissimi altri santi, migliaia, milioni si sono sacrificati per dare alla chiesa Sacerdoti, però prima di noi lei ha offerto la sua vita, tutti i suoi dolori perché Gesù potesse dare alla chiesa tanti sacerdoti.

Ha offerto le sue sofferenze, le sue rinunce, le sue umiliazioni, e quante ne ha avute!!!

Let’s thank the Lord for this great gift, first of all for the Priesthood that Jesus has given us, and that has made us to know. We are His favorite, that He has chosen “ab aeterno” because we may participate in this great event to this great reality: His Priesthood, for those people who possess it, like us, it is a gift that we will never be able to measure and for which never we can thank the Lord enough.

For those people instead that can approach it, can take the fruits, also for those it is to have to thank the Lord, day after day.

But I think that a beautiful thanks to God for the Priesthood is to offer ourselves so that this priesthood may continue in the history of the world. Surely the Lord will go on to do it, however He also needs us ;

He needs our sacrifice, our offer, our gifts, what costs more to us so many times, denying ourselves, taking every day the cross that Jesus sends us; through those small hidden sufferings that they are inside of us, but that Jesus sees, and offering them for the Priests so that Jesus sends so many priests in His harvest, so that Jesus preserves those who are already there, so that Jesus sanctifies us, helps us to become more saint, so that Jesus helps us to be like Him: Alter Christus.

In this moment we are in front of a statue of the Madonna and we know that here the Madonna walked on 21 July of 1954 and appeared to our Mamma. And why did She come? She came to ask for the sacrifice to our Mother Providence, to our Founder: the sacrifice for the priests. Before us she offered her life, all of her pains because Jesus could give so many priests to the Church.

Has offered her sufferings, her renouncements, her humiliations; and how many has she had of them!!!
